ASRB RECRUITMENT 2023:
On March 14, 2023, the Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board released an official notification for the National Eligibility Test (NET) - 2023. The purpose of this recruitment is to hire candidates for the positions of Subject Matter Specialist (SMS) (T-6) and Senior Technical Officer (STO) (T-6). The exam will be conducted in a computer-based (CBT) mode online.
Eligible and interested candidates can submit their applications online from 10:00 AM on March 22, 2023, until 5:00 PM on April 10, 2023. The exam is scheduled to take place between April 26 and April 30, 2023. It is recommended that applicants read this article to obtain important exam-related information before applying.

Eligibility Criteria for ASRB 2023:
Nationality eligibility for ASRB 2023:
Candidates must be one of the following:
- A citizen of India
- A citizen of Nepal
- A citizen of Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India
- A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries such as Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
However, candidates from categories (ii), (iii), (iv), and (v) mentioned above must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Exam Pattern for ASRB 2023:
NET Exam Pattern 2023:
- The National Eligibility Test (NET) will consist of one paper with 150 objective-type multiple-choice questions carrying a total of 150 marks.
- The duration of the exam will be two hours.
- Each question will carry one mark.
- The 150 questions will be based on the discipline in which the candidate has opted to appear.
- For every wrong answer, 1/3 mark will be deducted in NET-2023, and no rounding off of fractions of marks will be done.
SMS Exam Pattern 2023:
- For the SMS (T-6) exam, there will be one paper consisting of 150 multiple choice objective questions worth 150 marks.
- Candidates will have 2 hours to complete the exam.
- The questions will be based on the discipline in which the candidate has opted to appear.
- The exam questions will be available in both Hindi and English.
- The exam will be conducted online at designated centers, and answers must be indicated on the computer during the exam.
- For each incorrect answer, 1/3 of the marks will be deducted. Fractions of marks will not be rounded off.
STO Exam Pattern 2023:
- The SMS (T-6) exam consists of a single paper of 150 marks, which includes multiple-choice objective questions.
- The exam must be completed within 2 hours.
- The questions in the exam are based on the subject in which the candidate has chosen to appear.
- The questions will be provided in both Hindi and English languages.
- The exam will be conducted online at designated centers, and answers must be indicated on the computer during the exam.
- For every incorrect answer, 1/3 of the marks will be deducted, and there will be no rounding off of fractions of marks.
Note: Note that candidates who have taken the online examination for SMS and STO must also attend an interview, which will be worth a total of 30 marks. The interview board, consisting of competent and impartial experts in the respective disciplines, will review the candidate's career history. The purpose of the interview is to determine the candidate's suitability for the post for which they have applied.
